"In my heart,
There are still many dangerous factors--
Disguised as kindness."
—— "Fingers Always Touching"
"Look at a person, first as you would an animal. Look at their flesh, appearance, posture, gaze, desires, ambitions, vitality, violence, the texture of their voice, the length of their fingers, the silhouette of their walk. Then consider those mysterious things."
"The horrifying deeds, merely desiring to be liked, cannot accomplish them; only fearing not being liked can drive someone completely insane."
"Lurking in the abyss, embracing the shadows, Sun Deqin exposes the essence of love and desire directly through poetry. Both sinister and pure, both vulgar and innocent — as an extraordinary poet, the terrifying aspect of Sun T.C. lies in his ability to remain unperturbed, except for happiness."
