Indie Publishers Association of Taiwan
Indie Publishers Association of Taiwan, established at the end of 2015, is a coalition of micro and independent publishers as well as individual creators in Taiwan. The association’s main mission is to promote independent publishing and cultivate a vibrant reading culture outside the mainstream book market.
Currently, the association brings together more than 40 publishing houses and several independent publishers, covering a wide range of genres and topics. Members are often small-scale teams or even one-person operations, and are characterized by their flexibility, creativity, and willingness to take risks with unconventional content.
Key Activities and Goals:
Organizing joint booths and events at major book fairs such as the Taipei International Book Exhibition.
Hosting talks, exhibitions, and activities to foster connections among independent publishers, readers, and the public.
Sharing resources and marketing efforts to help members reach a wider audience despite limited budgets.
The Indie Publishers Association acts as a collaborative platform, injecting diversity and innovation into Taiwan’s publishing industry while supporting the sustainability and visibility of independent publishing voices.
