Tibet Crossing recounts the author's 2009 journey through two ""crossings"": from China to Tibet, and Tibet to Nepal. More than a physical journey, it serves as a metaphor for shifting identities, historical echoes, and conflicting realities. The narrative hesitation reveals the unspoken weight of a Han Chinese perspective, conveying a silent, empathetic gaze. Blending hard-pen outlines with colored pencil, the art captures both the journey's magnificent, exotic beauty and a profound, intimate reality that can only be understood firsthand.
