Gong Wei-hua, a second-generation immigrant entomologist from China, and Aramura Kiichi, an amateur Japanese photographer, met in Taiping Mountain, Yilan, in their common search for the Dream Butterfly.
After rounds of conversations, the two met a faceless butterfly hunter. They become fellow travelers. The butterfly hunter's lost voice gradually revealed his experience of the White Terror after several strange events. Does what happen in the forest stay in the forest? Did someone hear it?
