The inspiring story of the first Taiwanese disabled tour guide!

Due to the coming of the aged society, accessible tourism has been highly attended by many countries around the world.

Huang Hsin-Yi, the first disabled tour guide in Taiwan, has devoted herself to accessible tourism for years. At the age of 27 systemic lupus erythematosus put her on the wheelchair, ended her marriage and brought her endless rehabilitations. To get away from her dull and repeated life, Huang modified her car and enabled herself to travel around. After getting her tour guide license Huang has started to organize wheelchair travels to get many wheelchair users to travel just like she does. Since 2014 she has organized more than 50 wheelchair tours.

This book is divided to three parts. The 1st part tells the story of the author – from her joyful youth days, to the dark days when the disease made her become disabled and divorced, then to her brand new life by being a disabled tour guide. The 2nd part of this book recorded the wheelchair tours organized by the author, which presents the reality and the operation details of wheelchair travels, such as arranging strawberry picking, travels in the beaches, snow and forests, etc. It also shares about how to organize Japanese accessible tours. The 3rd part covers the introduction of the top 25 accessible tour spots in Taiwan. These places were recommended by the author due to her actual traveling experience. Transportation, accommodation and accessible facility information are also included.
